40 Years At Sandhill Farm
40th Anniversary Events
As well as celebrating 65 years of the gliding club this year, we’re celebrating 40 years at our current airfield at Sandhill Farm.
We’ll be organising some events throughout 2025 to celebrate, and more details will be added here as plans are finalised.
Shrivenham Summer Fete
We’ll be taking part in the Shrivenham Summer Fete on Saturday 23rd August 2025 12:00 – 17:00, with a chance to book glider introductory flights throughout the weekend. For this weekend only, we’re offering vintage glider flights in an open canopy glider, as well as aerobatic flights in our fully-aerobatic training glider.
How Did It Go On The Day?
We hosted lots of visitors for a fly-in on the Saturday of the fete, as well as taking lots of visitors up in gliders and motor gliders for the first time on the Saturday and the Sunday. On the Sunday evening we had an evening BBQ for club members, visitors, and friends and family, with plenty of food, drinks, and recollections from long-standing and previous members.
