Motor gliding, or self-launching motor gliding, combines the features of a traditional glider and a powered aircraft. It allows pilots to take off under their own power using an engine, similar to a regular airplane, but also enables them to shut off the engine and soar like a glider. This versatility makes it ideal for both learning and leisure flying.
